David Ashcraft is a graduate of Texas Tech University(where he met his wife Ruth) holding a degree in Business Administration, & has his Master's Degree from Dallas Theological Seminary with a Major in Pastoral Studies. Recently, Pastor David earned a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Pastoral Studies from Trinity Evangelical Seminary. He served 12 years at Scofield Memorial Church in Dallas before coming to LCBC in 1991. David and Ruth live in Manheim with their two children, Justin and Ashleigh.

A long, long time ago (1986 to be exact) 35 people started meeting in a garage. They had a dream to create a new kind of church - one that would attract people who didn't like church. This church would be exciting & culturally-relevant. A church people wanted to bring their friends to. The idea took off. Since then, the church has grown to over 8,200 (and still counting).
